Congratulations to the Kendal College Team at the Rotary Club Technology Tournament who won the advanced design & build challenge. Well done Alex, Luc, Conor and Joe!
The event which the students took part in was the “Rotary BAE Systems Technology Tournament” which was held at Kendal Leisure Centre on Friday 17th March. The event was organised by the Rotary Clubs in Rotary International District 1190.
There are 3 categories which students from a variety of schools across Cumbria compete in. Our team competed in the Advanced section, with the team made up of Alex Mepham, Conor Moss and Luc Boissier-Wyles from Computing and Joe Scott from Engineering. This was our second year of competing in the tournament – with the team last year making a bridge and this year the task was to create a ‘mole’ which needed to go down a pipe and collect debris.
